Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH STOFFMAN Suddenly, and unexpectedly, Ralph Stoffman passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. Left to mourn his passing are his daughter Gerri Holder, husband Sidney, grandchildren, Erin and Ian of Toronto; son Harvey, wife Debbie, grandchildren, Marc and Jennifer of Winnipeg; brother Isaac of Vancouver; sister Dorothy Malen of Montreal, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was born June 2, 1923 in Elphinstone, Manitoba. He volunteered for the Canadian Army in 1941, served as a Gunner in the Normandy Landing at Juno Beach. Upon his return to Winnipeg, he worked as a mechanic and then operated a taxi cab for many years, primarily with Duffy's Taxi. Dad married Mom, Gertie (Lank), in 1949. He was devoted to her until her death in 1997. Dad will be remembered for his old-school values: devotion to family, loyalty to friends, hard work and honesty. He was a devoted Blue Bombers fan and never gave up hope for his beloved Leafs. He will be sorely missed. Donations in his memory to Stay Young Program, Rady Centre or Canadian Legion, General Monash Branch.
